14 January 1880 — Constantinople | |
Wednesday. 14th [January 1880]. Wrote in bed till lunch time as I had to copy for Henry being messenger day. I wrote a long letter to Lady Ely. Sat in the boudoir. Capt Swaine & Mr Sartoris came up to see me. Dined upstairs. Alice came up & sat with me. Zena has become much tamer & slept in a basket by my side. School. | |
