4 February 1880 — Constantinople | |
Wednesday. 4th. February [1880]. Copied Henry’s letter for messenger. Had a painting lesson– Henry & Alice rode. I walked for a little while in the garden. There was a little drizzling rain from time to time. Had a visit from Mme Helmy P., Mme Cabouli. Heaps of people came to call– The Longevilles, Mrs Hönischer & Mr Whitaker, Capt. Fitzgerald, Mrs Arthur Hanson & Ethel, Mme Parnis.– Mr Nicolson, Ittersum, Mr Smijth & Mr Wallace dined & we played dominoes. | |
