Friday. 5th [March 1880]. Henry’s birthday. The messenger arrived from England. I played tennis after luncheon with Alice, Mr Oliphant & afterwards I went in the garden with Henry. Ct Corti, the Mantillas Mr St John dined with us & there was the usual dominoes in the eveng. | |
