5 October 1880 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Tuesday. 5th October [1880]. Busy all day getting things into their places in my studio &c; after luncheon I went out with Henry afterwards to the Stabilimento to enquire when Sir Wm & Miss Drake were expected– They said they were to arrive from Ferrara at 4 oclock. We met them in their gondola & made them come in to tea and they they came & dined in the eveng & we walked after in the Piazza. | |
