21 March 1882 — 3 Savile Row
Tuesday. 21st March [1882]. Worked sewing machine & wrote. Blanche & Monty came in after Mr Rollo’s wedding & B asked me to fetch her in the carriage in the afternoon wh I did & left her at Cadogan Sqr to attend an ambulance class. I went on to Wood’s to get some maps mounted & then came home as I had such a headache I could sit up no longer. I went to lie down & slept till dinner time. I had telegraphed to Alice Du Cane & she came up & dined with us. We had Sir Henry & Miss Thompson, Mr & Mrs Reeve, Lord & Lady Arthur Russell, Sir Arthur Otway, Mr Sanderson, & Mr Fawcett. The Russells & Sir Arthur remained talking till past midnight & we had a pleasant evening. It snowed in the afternoon.
