23 April 1883 — 3 Savile Row
Monday. 23rd April [1883]. I did accounts & packed all the morning. After lunch I drove out with Blanche; we shopped &c. The weather was horrible. We did not stay out very long as it snowed hard. I went home with Blanche to tea at Queen Anne St & after waiting to see if the snow wd cease I came home in a hansom. It got a little finer so I walked on to see the Murrays & bid them good bye. I walked home with Mr Hallam Murray—dressed & went to dine at Langham House– Met Susan Hambro & Nety—also Marie & Richard & Alice Du Cane, Charlie, Connie & Bee Eliot—Blanche & Edward Ponsonby– I bid them all farewell as we start tomorrow for Venice.
