7 August 1884 — La Punta, Longarone | |
Thursday. 7th August [1884]. Same as usual—read & wrote in morning, painted in afternoon– Not very well– Felt scirocco. At 5 we set off in carriage to drive with Mr Malcolm but it came on to rain & just beyond Castillo we had to turn back & go home. I read aloud to Henry. Dined 7. Cribbage. There was a thunderstorm & refreshing rain in the night. | |
