18 February 1885 — 1 Queen Anne Street | |
Wednesday. 18th February [1885]. I walked out in the morning, dropped Alice at church, went to a few shops & then went in to see Blanche & then went home. Mildred Guest came to lunch & I took her out driving with me & we went to the Stores & battled our way into getting sundry groceries &c Mr Rassam came to luncheon & Henry, Alice & he walked out together in the afternoon. We were in at 5 T. Miss Duff Gordon, Mr Mowbray, Maria, Sir Wm Gregory came also to tea. Mr Clark dined with us. He seemed in better spirits—but left us early. | |
