9 June 1885 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Tuesday. 9th [June 1885]. Henry is sitting every morning from 12 to 2 to Mr Vigor for his portrait. Sometimes I painted him also but I am not making a successful sketch of him. After lunch I painted from the model who comes every afternoon till 5. Today Henry took the Dicksons to Murano, also Mr Vigor. The Bishop of Gibraltar who came this morning from Trieste, called upon me at 5 & said he would return to dinner. Olga Mocenigo also dined with us. | |
