Thursday. 11th [March 1886]. Mrs Arthur Hanson came to see me & I took her to the Dinners & then she lunched with us. At 4 she & I fetched Mama & we went to Lady Burdett Coutts’ where Henry met us & we had a meeting about the Turkish work at wh it was agreed we should sell off at reduced prices all our old stock & offer it to Liberty. It was announced that the Fund had turned over £21,000 since it began. Blanche & Edward, Sir Arthur Otway & Alice & Hallam dined with us & Blanche sang in the evening. | |
