Wednesday. 24th March [1886]. We dined with Mr & Mrs P. Hardwicke in Hereford Gardens & met Mrs Pastor, Adl , the Murrays & Galtons. In the eveng we went on to a musical party at Lady Wantage. It was very smart, select & dull but there was some good music. M. & Mme Henschel sang but their singing did not touch me much– | |
