21 April 1886 — 1 Queen Anne Street | |
Wednesday. 21st [April 1886]. Henry & I walked round to see the Edgars in the morning. Visit from Mrs Rate. Lunch at 1. Went by 2.30 train to Inwood. Blanche & Edward went as far as Andover. Arthur stopped the express for us at Templecombe—& it was stopped 3 times besides for other people so we arrived pretty late. Dined at 7.30. Merthyr & Theo each have had colds. Maria & the twins are here—& Mr Digby Collins. I played whist with Henry, Merthyr & Ly Westr who is now nearly quite deaf. | |
