4 July 1886 — Syltebo, Romsdalsfjord
Sunday. 4th [July 1886]. Weather held up. We took a walk all 4 of us in the afternoon by the river side from Friswold down & had to scramble up the bank close home. We dined at 6 and played cribbage till supper at 10. Then I went down to fish at the bridge with Thorwald. Then to the Bank & got very wet feet. I came home at 12 & changed my boots & went again to the Bridge, rose a salmon & came home disgusted at ¼ to 1. Henry remained out until 2.30 & having got 23 lb. salmon.
