1 August 1886 — Syltebo, Romsdalsfjord | |
Sunday. 1st August [1886]. Finished carving Monty’s monogram. Took a walk with Henry by side of stream. Blew hard last night from S. Today wind went to N. & we had several showers. Dined at 7. Cribbage with Edgar before dinner & with Henry after dinner. At 9 I went to the Bank & got 2 trout. Henry fished the Gredhus & when he came down I went up to the bridge & got a grilse & a trout & lost a good fish. Edgar who went to fish at Kiespool came back abt 11 having lost his minnow. Fred & Thorwald went off to mouth of river but got 0. I came in at 12 tea & bed. Henry came in at 1 with 12 good trout. | |
