2 September 1886 — Cassel | |
Thursday. 2nd September [1886]. Directly after breakfast we went to the Gallery & met Hobich & stayed looking at the pictures till 1. Dined at the table d’hôte—very good dinner & the old fashioned way, the landlord serves the soup out & then sits at the head of the table & dines with us. Went off by 4 o’cl train to Frankfurt. Arrived after 8, went to Frankfurterhof. Supper & bed. Heat beginning. | |
