25 September 1886 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Saturday. 25th [September 1886]. Went in morning to Academy. After lunch went to call for Mr Malcolm & he took us to Madonna del Orto to see a palace where doors & ceilings are for sale. We saw a nice carpet there. We went round by the Greek Church to see the Aghinoor’s house. Then to Malcolm’s house to see his silks & so home. Dined with Edens & played whist. Met Capt. Briscoe. | |
