11 October 1886 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Monday. 11th October [1886]. Henry & I, the Colnaghis & Isabel Scobell left Venice by 11 o’cl train. At Conegliano we left Mr Colnaghi who went on to Udine & we went to Vittorio. There we lunched at the hotel & got a carriage to drive to the Castle of Valmarino to stay with Ct & Css Brandolin. We arrived at 5 o’cl. Found M. & Mme d’Adda staying there & Css Giulia Persico. Dined at 7.30. Played patience, worked & chatted. Several priests & neighbours came in to play tresette. | |
