25 December 1886 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Saturday. [25th December 1886]. Christmas Day. Mr Bosanquet read prayers for us in the morning. We walked to the Piazza & took a walk. Had a dinner party of Mrs & Miss Bronson, Mr & Mrs Eden, Mr Malcolm, Mr Woods RA, Revd Bosanquet & his daughter, Mrs Brown & Mr Horatio Brown, Mr St Leger, Baroness Reitzenstein. In the evening we had a reception for the English wh was kept up till past 12. | |
