4 May 1888 — 1 Queen Anne Street | |
Friday. 4th [May 1888]. Lunched at 1 & went to Private view of R. Academy & met Mrs Poynter at the door & we saw it together. Abt 4 Mr Poynter joined us & we went over it again. Mr Woods picture looked very well– Poynter had a lot of portraits all bad—& a very pretty small picture—“After the Bath”. I remained a long time & got home about 5 very tired. Maria & Richard both dropped in at different times & we got them to come & dine with us. | |
