12 October 1888 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Friday. 12th October [1888]. I painted all the morning finishing an old sketch of the view from these windows which I had begun in the first days that we lived here. Ola & Nela went to the Edens garden to get me some flowers. After lunch Henry took the girls to the Lido. I stayed at home & read. Mrs & Dr Menzies called. Mrs Bronson, Miss Browning & Mr Browning, Mr & Mrs Eden & Mr Hamilton Aidé dined with us—& a good many people came to tea in the evening. The weather has turned so fine we determined to start off for La Punta tomorrow morng at 11.
