18 February 1890 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Tuesday. 18th [February 1890]. Countess Morosini gave a ball at the Ca d’Oro to which I took the 3 girls. It was very pretty & amusing. We were not invited till 12 as it was not to take place until after the opera & the men were asked to go en domino. It was not a very good house for a ball but it was very well arranged– We did not get home till after 4 A.M. | |
