7 March 1890 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Friday. 7th [March 1890]. Henry was better & got up to breakfast at 9—but I woke with a sick headache & had to remain in bed & passed a bad day. The opera was put on to tonight & we telegraphed to the girls to return from Vescovana to hear Stagno but they did not get the telegram in time & so did not come so Henry went with Mr Malcolm. I was a little better in the eveng & got on the sofa for a little while. | |
