Saturday. 9th [May 1891]. Merthyr left us & returned to Inwood after luncheon. I went out with Henry in afternoon to see Holman Hunt’s picture of “The singing of the hymns on the top of Magdalen tower Oxford.” We did not care for it; it is hard & queer like all his pictures. Went to see Mrs Burr who is better. | |
