13 June 1891 — 1 Queen Anne Street
Saturday. 13th [June 1891]. Up to breakfast as usual. Went to have guitar lesson of Mme Pratten & home to lunch. Mrs Jolliffe (widow of Capt. Jolliffe who commanded HMS Antelope part of the time we were at Consple). I had only seen her once since we left Consple. She is a pretty little woman & very pleasant. She had a son now learning to be a Dr. Henry went with Ola to Sarasate’s concert. I drove a little & then went to Blanche’s to help her at a child’s party she gave. As she found she had not eno’ toys to give away I walked out & got them for her as the shops shut at 4. The party was very successful. Henry joined me there for a little while & I returned home abt 7.30. Mama & Nela Du Cane dined with us.
