20 November 1891 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Friday. 20th November [1891]. I wrote letters & amongst them one to the Empress to give our good wishes on her birthday which is tomorrow. After lunch Css Pisani came to see me & we sat talking for a long time. She had lunched with Mrs Brown & came on here afterwards. Ola & Ruth went to see her after dinner. Henry & I remained at home. | |
