28 November 1891 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Saturday. 28th [November 1891]. Wrote letters in bed in morning & got up late. Afternoon Henry & I went to the Eden’s garden & brought home flowers. Ola went there in sandolo & walked with us. When we came home & arranging the flowers a telegram came from my sister Maria to say she at last consents to come out & stay with us & take Ruth home for Christmas. I wrote to her from Trent to do so & she answered that it was impossible for her to leave home– She will leave England with Mrs Burr & Isabel Scobell & be here on 6th. I read aloud to Henry before dinner.
