28 March 1892 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Monday. 28th [March 1892]. I did not get up till luncheon. Got a letter from Mrs White from Paris consenting to bring out Nela next week. Princess Batthyany Strattmann came to tea with a handsome young friend Css [illegible word]. They had brought us letters from Sir Arthur Nielson our Consul Genl at Pesth. Both spoke English & Pss B. was a very pleasant handsome old lady. Css Berthold & her husband & daughter came to tea also. Later came the Dss della Grazia. Henry & I dined with Mrs Bronson & met P. Gagarin, Css Thurn & Taxis & Mr Cozzi, & came home early. | |
