Thursday. 9th [June 1892]. Left by 10.30 train for Bale. Not so hot going over the St Gotthard. Slept at the Eules Hotel & dined out in the garden. Saw our servant John who with the rest of the servants left Venice last night at 11 & are going straight thro’ to London. | |
