5 July 1893 — 1 Queen Anne Street | |
Wednesday. 5th [July 1893]. The Preparations for the Duke of York & Princess May’s marriage had already begun yesterday. Today there was a garden party at Marlboro’ House. Henry went to it. I took a walk in the afternoon with Nela & Eda & saw all the people driving to the party. We walked up Bond Street & in Grafton St saw Blanche & Edward on their way there. Met Maria walking & we went on to St James St to see the preparations but cd not get beyond Albemarle St so came home to tea– We bought china mugs & plates with the names of the bridal pair on them. | |
