4 November 1893 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Saturday. 4th [November 1893]. I read aloud to Henry before breakfast—after we had had our tea & before dressing. Countess Pisani left Venice & returned home to Vescovana. Went to call on Mme Noce at the Arsenal & then to the Eden’s garden. Mme Hurtado & Idita came to tea with me as I was home by 5. The Bishop of Southwark & Mr Woods dined with us. | |
