23 December 1893 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Saturday. 23rd December [1893]. I went to the studio & Mr Woods came & gave me advice as to my work. Mr Dyer also called to bid me good bye as he is leaving today for Paris to join his family for Christmas. I went out with Henry in gondola to the church as he had business there & then I went on to see the Montalba family & found them all very sad & depressed poor things. They cannot get over the loss of the sister. | |
