29 August 1894 — Branksome Dene, Poole, Dorset | |
Wednesday. 29th August [1894]. Up to 9 o’cl breakfast. Mama came down later. Sat & worked in drawing room talking to her & Maria. Evely Eliot left for Cornwall at 12. We lunched at 1. I went out for a little walk with Maria in the grounds to look for a rare wild lily near the Packe Mausoleum wh we did not find. Left Branksome Dene at 4.30. Maria went with me to the station. I returned to Weymouth. | |
