Friday. 10th [May 1895]. Elaine had a bad headache & so I went to tell Cornelia and arranged Elaine should get up ready to start for Canford at 4 o’cl. She got up by then & I took her to No 17 & she drove off with her mother for the station to go to Canford. I went for a short drive round Regent’s Park & returned home at 5 to tea. Had a long visit from Sir Henry Thompson– Dined alone. | |
