30 July 1895 — Devonshire House, Weymouth
Tuesday. 30th July [1895]. Nelly Alderson telegraphed from Bere Regis that she was coming & she arrived to lunch. I worked a good deal these days at the Remington typewriter & began to get on with it. Nela & I accompanied Nelly to the station to see her off by the 4.30 train & then she persuaded us to go with her as far as Dorchester from whence she was driving back to Bere. It was abt 20 minutes by train. We drove in an omnibus from the station to the town & went to see the Museum which contains some very interesting things. Went into some shops with Nelly & then Nela & I walked back to that station & returned to Weymouth by 7 o’cl.
