21 August 1895 — Bere Cottage, Bere Regis, Dorset | |
Wednesday. 21st [August 1895]. We painted all the morning till lunch till we were quite exhausted & could do nothing but rest till 4.30 when 2 Miss Ratcliffes came to tea—& directly after I started for Wareham in Arthur’s van—driven by Batterick, & got a train for Bournemouth, reached Branksome Dene about 7. All the girls excepting Ruth at home. Ola in bed not very well. | |
