18 September 1895 — Lutterworth | |
Wednesday. 18th [September 1895]. I took a drive with Kate & we went to call on a Mrs Jorey who lives with her father an old Mr Bromolow who is the present possessor of the Marlborough guns. She was gone out. We went on to call on Mrs Borwick whose husband owns the great baking powder business. A very kind nice person. We walked round her garden which is a pretty one. On our return home Kate & I set to work & gardened, weeded & cut back branches &c. | |
