13 October 1895 — 40 Half Moon Street
Sunday. 13th [October 1895]. I remained in bed till nearly lunch wh now I eat alone. Augusta Gregory came soon after & we walked across the Parks to Westminster Abbey for the 3 o’cl service. There was a great crowd but we managed to get a seat in Poet’s corner but so far we could not hear much of the sermon. Afterwards we walked up to Hyde Park to see if there were any flowers—there were but few– Altho’ it is still warm & the leaves on the trees are green yet—their flowers are over. We walked to Half Moon St & had tea. I went to dine with Augusta to meet Sir Fred. Burton & Mr Sydney Colvin. They escorted me home on foot. Sir Fred left me at the door of 40 Half Moon St.
