30 October 1895 — 3 Savile Row
Wednesday. 30th [October 1895]. Up by 9. Breakfast in library & went to dentist by 10. Waiting there for him was a lady who said she had met me last year at Mena Hotel where she was with Mrs Miles. She was a Miss Bolitho. Came home at 12—& then walked with Nelly & Eda shopping. Bought silks to make shades for electric lights. Hung more pictures in my bed room. Sir Henry Thompson came to tea & to tell me that he had won his lawsuit & secured the £7700 left him by an old gentleman whose relations disputed the will. Constance came to tea—Louis Du Cane came to call. Eda & Nelly had high tea at 7 & went off to the theatre. Edward Duncannon dined with me—& left at 10.30 when I went to bed–
