24 January 1896 — 3 Savile Row
Friday. 24th [January 1896]. I typewrote Henry’s letters to Sir Henry Thompson in the morning. Nela Du Cane came to luncheon & Marie & Issie came at 3 & I took a walk with Maria round by the Park & Marble Arch & we parted at the top of Bond St & went to our respective homes. Before I went out had a visit from Lady Millais—still pretty tho’ an old lady with white hair & beautifully dressed. She was very kind & friendly. Edward Duncannon called late to ask whether I would take him to dine with me & I assenting he came at 8 & we had a pleasant evening.
