5 July 1897 — Bere Cottage, Bere Regis, Dorset | |
Monday. 5th [July 1897]. I worked in the studio in the morning. In the afternoon Ruth & I drove over to Watcombe in the poney carriage to call on the Mansel Pleydells. We did not find them at home. We went rather a round about way through not knowing the road but got back by the direct road. | |
