17 January 1898 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Monday. 17th [January 1898]. I had not felt well the last two days so had to remain in bed all day. Nela took care of the Guiccioli & Marchesa Olga sat with me a good deal. She & her husband left by 5 train & returned to Vicenza. I had hoped they would have remained this week—but they could not do so & promised to return next Monday—& so left their evening clothes till their return. | |
