25 September 1898 — 3 Savile Row
Sunday. 25th [September 1898]. Lady Gregory arrived from Ireland abt 8 A.M. & came to stay here preparatory to starting for Venice with me. Nellie & I went to morning church at St James Piccadilly. Directly after lunch Augusta Gregory & I drove to 43 Argyll Rd Kensington to call on old Sir Frederick Burton whom we found at home & very pleased to see us. He gave us tea & we sat talking with him till 4.30 when we returned home & found Nellie with 2 of her brothers Augustus & Henry, gave them tea. Sent off the servants to Venice at 9 P.M. fm Victoria.
