19 January 1900 — 3 Savile Row
Friday. 19th [January 1900]. Louis Du Cane came to see me in the morning & I gave him a cheque to pay my acct to his firm. I worked hard all day for the Transvaal Guild & made 2 fisherman caps today. Walked out after lunch. Called to see Miss Jeffery at 20 Brook St (Blanche’s Irish Depot) & came home as it began to rain. Bee Eliot called & also Vere Ponsonby & stayed to tea & then Ruth Du Cane came & stayed chatting till late. I dined alone.
