27 December 1900 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Thursday. 27th [December 1900]. I went to the Lido & lunched with the Montalbas in their cabin at Quattro Fontane. It was not so fine as it has been the last 3 weeks, enclined to be foggy—& the Siren at the Alberini was going all day. Mr Montalba, Ellen & Hilda were there. We walked on the sand after lunch & set off home again at 3. I went to dine with Mr & Mrs Christie & met there Mr & Mrs Hulton. In the meanwhile my servants had their Christmas dinner & entertainment. | |
