22 March 1901 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Friday. 22nd [March 1901]. At last the sun shone again—after many days of heavy rain which have caused inundations in all directions in Italy. I went out with Lady Gregory to the Zattere in gondola, landed & took an hour’s walk up & down. It is exactly 4 weeks today since I was out last & I found I could not walk very quickly. Modelled in afternoon– Mlle Aspasie Kwekwitsch came to tea. Weather changed in evening & it became cold & windy again. | |
