11 November 1901 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Monday. 11th [November 1901]. Wrote many letters. After lunch Verona, Emilia & I went to see Clara Montalba to see the sketches she is sending off tomorrow to an Exhibition at Berlin. She has about 20 sketches of the most varied kind a great proof of her great talent & each with a peculiar charm. I went from the Piazza home on foot—calling on Baroness Reinelt on the way who is laid up with a bad foot. She was delighted to see me—then home—& Carry Eden came to 5 tea. Olga Mocenigo turned up to my surprise & promised to come to lunch on Wedy. Mr Beaumont returned from Padua–
