21 December 1901 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Saturday. 21st [December 1901]. The Wiels invited us to go to the Liceo concert room to hear the rehearsal of Martucci Concert. Martucci was there himself & played on the piano, the music being all of his own composition. There was a trio & a quintett & a duett on 2 pianos which were played by him & Sr Paoli of Padua to perfection. The Edens & Wiels were present & about a dozen other people. The playing was good & parts of the music pleasant but I did not feel enthusiastic. | |
