31 March 1902 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Monday. 31st March [1902]. Got up after lunch & was on the sofa till night. Iduna Belmondo came to see me & afterwards Donna Laura Minghetti & Mme de Bülow her daughter came. Da Laura was looking ill & worn from the effects of a fall she has had since she came here on the stairs of the hotel. She cut her head & is not able to wear a bonnet & so came with her head tied up in a black shawl. Countess de Bülow is growing stouter & losing her looks—but both were charming & amiable.
