25 April 1902 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Friday. 25th April [1902]. I went out in the morning to see how the Harston child was & on to see Bss Reinelt. Mr Harston is anxious that we should take the poor burnt sailor out of the hospital & we arranged that with help of Dr Van Someren this shall be done & I went directly after lunch to the Sailor’s Institute to have a room prepared for him & then went back to Mr Harston to tell him that it would be ready. At 4 I returned home to take out Count Seckendorff & Princess Taxis & we went to the Eden’s garden & then on to the Giordini Publici & from there we walked to St Marks sending the gondola to meet us there. Count & Css Pourtalis & Css Hohenthal & Comm: Malagola dined with me. I had my last Trio evening—& the usual small & select no. of people.
