4 September 1903 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Friday. 4th [September 1903]. — & Saturday the 5th. Began to prepare the apartment for the reception of Princess Christian of Schleswig Holstein & her daughter Princess Victoria who are coming to stay 3 weeks with me from 8th. I am giving them the rooms on the ground floor with an anteroom where they can breakfast & a sitting room between 2 bedrooms by turning out the bed in the centre room. Their lady in waiting Miss Loch will have a bedroom upstairs on the 2 floor with Connie & me. All this involved a great deal of moving of furniture & the servants all worked with a will—so that all will be very nice & pretty. | |
